About Guardian Scholars
The Æðµã´«Ã½ Guardian Scholars Program (GSP) is committed to improving educational outcomes for students with lived experience in foster care by providing holistic wraparound support and a comprehensive range of services. Our goal is to enrich students’ university experience by nurturing academic success, personal development, professional growth, career readiness, and a lifelong love of learning.
We serve as a vital resource for young adults, equipping them with the educational and interpersonal skills needed to become self-sufficient leaders, role models, and professionals in their chosen fields. Most importantly, GSP strives to cultivate a strong sense of community where students feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to reach their academic and personal goals throughout their journey at Sac State.

Make A Gift
On behalf of the Guardian Scholars Program (GSP) staff, and scholars, we would like to say “Thank You” for your generous donation to our program. Your donation helps GSP scholars with unmet financial needs.
A few of these unmet needs include assistance with purchasing textbooks, paying utility bills, covering medical or vehicle repair expenses, funding travel to visit ill family members or support systems, enrolling in certificate programs to further educational goals, reimbursing graduation regalia costs, and providing help with housing/move-in deposits and scholarships.
