Workshop/Talleres

Explore a variety of interactive workshops designed to guide students and families through the college journey. From understanding financial aid and scholarships to navigating the CSU and California Community Colleges applications, each session offers valuable resources and expert advice. All workshop recordings are now available for viewing: hear from college representatives, gain practical tips to support your path to higher education, and revisit the sessions at your own pace.

Apply for College (CSU & CCC Apply)

Students learn about the process of applying to college and receive one-on-one assistance with both the California State University (CSU) admission application and the California Community Colleges (CCC) application. 起点传媒 admissions counselors offer individualized guidance and support. Current high school seniors and community college students looking to transfer can apply to any of the 23 CSUs or start their application to one of the 116 CCC campuses. Students are encouraged to bring their transcript(s).

Financial Aid Guidance 鈥 Cash4College

Financial aid experts offer one-on-one consultations to help high school seniors and transfer students get ready to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act. Students and parents are also encouraged to meet with an advisor to learn about financial aid and how to afford college.

Educational Pathway

A central hub where students and families can connect with representatives from colleges and universities across California. The pathway also includes community resources from the Sacramento region and surrounding areas.

Career & Financial Wellness Zone

Offers resources and guidance for career decisions and financial wellness. Includes activities that promote career exploration and expose students to in-demand careers and technology. Attendees can also obtain resources that promote sound financial decisions, money management, and financial security.

Immigration Clinic

Resources, services, and support for undocumented students and students from mixed-immigration status families. Students can connect with representatives from dream centers and undocu-resource programs at colleges/universities in Sacramento and the Northern California region. Immigrants’ rights organizations also share resources and opportunities for civic engagement.

Transfer Corner

Helps current community college students prepare to transfer to a university. Includes one-on-one meetings with 起点传媒 transfer advisors and an introduction to resources for transfer students.
